Mid Weight Copywriter

Are you a wordsmith with a passion for pets and a flair for creating compelling copy? Pets at Home is looking for a talented Copywriter to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the voice of our brand. As a Copywriter, you'll collaborate with our in-house team to craft engaging and high-performing copy that resonates with pet lovers across various platforms.

**About the Role**:
As a mid-level writer with a minimum of 3 years' brand copywriting experience, you'll be a creative thinker and doer, capable of generating standout ideas and executing copy to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

- Crafting best-in-class, always on-brand copy for campaign tag lines, long-form, short-form, and headline copy.
- Contributing to the development and experience of the Pets brand, bringing our brand role and unique point of view to life.
- Ideating, writing, and creating content for various channels, demonstrating a solid understanding of formats, audiences, and best practices.
- Developing storyboards and creating narratives to effectively communicate ideas.
- Utilising insights within pet care and scoping out trends to enhance creative output.
- Playing a key role in new product innovations and brand campaigns, ensuring effective communication to consumers.

**What We're Looking For**:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:

- 4+ years' experience in a similar role, either in-house, studio, or freelance.
- A fun, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
- A self-starter with a positive can-do attitude, known for going beyond the brief.
- Connection to creative culture and emerging industry trends.
- A portfolio showcasing inspiring and progressive work with a flexible approach.
- Experience in a fast-moving creative environment delivering consistently high-quality creative output.
- Ability to balance multiple work streams, focusing on what's most important.
- Understanding of customer journeys and responsive copy techniques.
- Strong collaborative tendencies, open to feedback and welcoming other perspectives.
- Passion for pets.

Location: Hybrid working, 2 days a week at our Handforth (Cheshire) office.
