- PermanentAs an Aircraft Mechanic you will become part of a hugely skilled and experienced team carrying out base maintenance tasks, reporting directly to a Licensed Engineer or Workshop Team Leader.
This role is based at our modern hangar in Luton, UK.
**ABOUT THE JOB**
- As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will:
- Be part of a team working in a base maintenance environment, carrying out tasks to a high standard of technical compliance and presentation.
- be trusted to complete challenging and various tasks, maintaining our aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations and engineering procedures, in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
- Perform your role using appropriate tools and equipment, either working independently or as part of a team.
- Be responsible for completing all required maintenance records in a precise manner which includes accurately reporting the time required to accomplish the tasks assigned.
- Be supported to develop your existing skills, knowledge, and experience for the necessary standard of quality within the trade skill set, company approval and the required timescales.
- Engage and actively support, promote, and contribute to continuous improvement ideas.
- Work co-operatively with all team members, contributing constructively and positively to team objectives
**ABOUT YOU**
- Have gained a recognised national qualification in the relevant trade.
- Experience in a base maintenance environment.
- Determination to develop excellent engineering skills.
- Detail-oriented and well organised.
- Highly motivated and work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
- Ability to multi-task within a team environment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Responsible and able to follow procedures and technical documentation.
- Willingness to work shifts.
- Ability to obtain/hold required Airport Security pass.
