**Job Title: Bid Writer - Funding Acquisition Specialist**
**Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Grant Research and Identification**:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporate sponsors, and other grant-making organizations.
- Stay informed about funding trends, priorities, and deadlines relevant to physical activity programs in educational settings.
- **Proposal Development**:
- Write compelling grant proposals that align with the objectives and requirements of funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with program managers and other team members to develop project plans, budgets, and evaluation strategies.
- Ensure that proposals are submitted accurately and on time, adhering to all guidelines and formatting requirements.
- **Relationship Building**:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including school administrators, community leaders, and potential funders.
- Attend networking events, conferences, and meetings to promote our programs and establish connections with potential donors.
- **Grant Management**:
- Monitor grant performance and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with all grant agreements and funding guidelines.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, clarify requirements, and coordinate efforts.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure that grant-funded activities are implemented effectively and meet the needs of the target audience.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Nonprofit Management).
- Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or related field, with a track record of securing funding for nonprofit organizations or educational programs.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and technically accurate grant proposals.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively represent our organization to external stakeholders.
