As a Forensic Analyst you will provide a counterfeit identification, forensic analysis, training and engagement service to a global group. The quality of counterfeit products has and continues to increase, making the process of counterfeit identificationand analysis more complex and on a global basis as a forensic scientist you will research and implement new forensic analytical techniques and tools to provide detailed forensic analysis of unauthorised products and categorise potential sources of counterfeitmanufacture.

**Accountabilities**
- Expert for forensic counterfeit analysis and authentication.
- Involvement with a wide range of materials suppliers including Print, paper, plastics etc. with respect to utilising their product and analytical expertise.
- Provide expert advice & support as required to enquiries from end markets on quality & authenticity issues.
- Write official statements of authenticity which can be used in court proceedings.
- Suspect unauthorised products analysed and reported.
- Provide an accurate, on time counterfeit identification service to teams within the company and law agencies.
- Make connections between unauthorised samples indicating common material sources, production methods and manufacturing sites. Categorise potential sources.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Forensic Analysis or Forensic Science degree (or equivalent experience)
- Full training given.
- A comprehensive theoretical and practical expert knowledge of all packaging materials and the various manufacturing processes associated with them is needed.
- Experience of material / forensic identification.
- Knowledge of method of manufacture can be identified from the finished material, (strong analytical and observational skills are required).
- A substantial practical knowledge of the product, including manufacture, packing machinery and methods is required including a good awareness of material/ machine interaction and the resulting physical fingerprints which can be used for forensic investigation.
- Knowledge of wrapping materials and their manufacturing processes advantageous
- Knowledge of print technologies advantageous
