**Requirements**:
**Role Purpose**
Work under the supervision of the site senior management team to acquire all essential knowledge to become future management. Learn all company functions, policies, processes, and key staff duties. Contribute to strategic planning and help evaluate department performance (e.g. identifying improvements, analysing, reporting etc).
**Working pattern**: Monday to Friday, full-time, core hours 40hrs per week.
**Starting Salary**:Up to £26,000 depending on experience.
**Role Requirements**
- Positively contribute to the main business objective of producing high-quality products that meet specifications and expectations of the customer and satisfy relevant legislative and industry regulations.
- Rotate through livestock procurement, commercial planning, production, operations and other functional support departments, developing business knowledge, experience and competency in each area.
- Develop full and comprehensive understanding of production processes and operations, supporting the dynamic risk assessing and troubleshooting on a daily basis.
- Work with operations/production managers and H&S department to implement and maintain safe and effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production-based tasks and processes.
- Work with operations/production managers to understand and support effective and minimum resourcing levels across production and operations, providing forecasts, KPI data and planning outputs to inform management.
- Review, understand and interpret yields and cost of transformation data, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support production and operations in achieving site and company’s daily/weekly/monthly KPI’s, suggesting improvements, ensuring data integrity, and undertaking root cause analysis as requested.
- Produce and maintain reports on production and operations for daily/weekly/monthly KPI’s.
- Attend and contribute to daily production/yield meetings; problem solving, offering solutions and suggestions for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Support consistent product standards by understanding quality and customer service processes; working with Technical to analyse and resolve quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system/process improvements.
- Understand audit compliance across production and operations in all auditable areas, including health and safety, environmental, sustainability, animal welfare, technical, specifications, customer standards, standard operating procedures, training, learning and development, and other people-based ethics.
- Support strategic goals by gathering pertinent commercial, financial, production and operational based information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; recommending a course of action; suggesting solutions; evaluating outcomes.
- Participate, support and/or deliver on assigned research and/or continuous improvement projects.
- Be an effective and proactive junior member of the site’s Management Team.
- Be aligned with the company’s graduate program and an ambassador of the business (including attending workshops, industry forums etc).
- Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.
