**Trainee Funeral OperativeSalary**: £20'000 + O/T and on call paymentsASA are excited to announce that a position has become available to work in a family owned Funeral Company within Fife. The role will be primarily based from their Kirkcaldy office. They are looking for a very special person to join their dedicated and friendly team in this highly rewarding role.The main purpose of the role is to provide support and assistance for the funeral director. This will include assisting with the funeral arrangements including preparation of coffins, collection and transportation of deceased, valeting of company fleet whilst acting in a responsible and dignified manner at all times. You will be well presented, efficient and helpful in all matters concerned with the provision of funeral services in order that the reputation of the business is maintained at all times. The post holder is required to work flexibly, in a tight knit team environmentYou will be required to work a minimum of 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, which will be linked closely to the needs of the customer and business. The actual times of work may vary according to the needs of the business. You will, in addition to the above, be required to participate in a 24 hour call-out system in accordance with the local rota agreements for which you will receive an additional payment.Day to day, the successful applicant's responsibilities may include
- Ensure immaculate appearance of company vehicles at all times. Drive company vehicles in a safe and considerate manner at all times - Helping with the preparations before funerals take place, including collecting orders of service, placing flowers in vehicles, ensuring coffins are secured, transporting deceased for viewings including to homes
- Basic preparation of deceased - Participate in on-call rota
- Removal of the deceased from their place of death to our premises in a dignified manner. Willing and able to assist with any other duties which arise on a day to day basis which enhance the service and presentation of the Company.Essential requirements
- Nat 5 Maths and English
- Full UK clean Driving LicenceTo be successful in this role ideally you will need - To be smartly presented
