As a Consultant Otolaryngologist, you will play a pivotal role in our team, performing General duties with a focus on Head & Neck while also developing the Thyroid/Parathyroid service. At Salisbury, we prioritize professional growth and mentorship. As such, Mentorship of early years consultants in Thyroid/Parathyroid surgery is available.

To be considered for this role, you should possess a strong background in General Otolaryngology, ensuring you have the necessary skills and experience to excel in this position. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in our network's out-of-hours on-call schedule on a 1 in 12 basis.

As a Consultant Otolaryngologist at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, you will have a range of engaging and professional responsibilities. Your commitment to audit, appraisal, teaching, and clinical governance will be essential in ensuring the highest standards of care and continuous improvement within our department.

Working as part of a dedicated team of four/five Consultants, you will play a vital role in the ongoing development of our Otolaryngology service. Your expertise and contributions will contribute to the growth and success of our department at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. Additionally, you will actively support our clinical network with University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing between organisations.

Our department is equipped with superbly equipped with full networking providing you with the tools necessary to deliver exceptional care. We have strong links with Maxillo-facial, Plastic surgery, paediatric, cleft lip and palate, and audiology departments, enabling interdisciplinary collaboration and comprehensive patient care.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in both theatre and clinics, ensuring a diverse and fulfilling professional experience. Furthermore, you will be encouraged to develop links with Primary Providers and Commissioners, contributing to the enhancement of our services and strengthening our relationships with external stakeholders.
