Applications are invited for the post of Case Builder, within the HQ Criminal Justice Division based at Leyland.

Case Builders are the post charge conduit between the Police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). They are the Disclosure Officer on the case and are responsible for ensuring all unused material generated throughout an investigation is collated, reviewed and scheduled and that any material which meets the disclosure test (i.e. assists or undermines) is brought to the attention of the CPS prosecutor. They work closely with officers and CPS to make sure the prosecution case is in the best order it can be to ensure that offenders are brought to justice. They review the case thoroughly by interrogating all of the evidence and all of the unused material that is collected by the investigating officer. This includes statements, forensic submissions and results, photographs, CCTV, Body Worn Video, 999 calls, interview notes and more. They have to be proactive and think about what CPS will need to prove the case.

Please note that there will be a psychological assessment required for this role.

**Salary**: £25,353.00-£27,690.00 per year
