Materials Supervisor

**What you’ll do**:
To lead a team of Material Planners accountable for the successful scheduling
and execution of MRP driven demand, enabling an uninterrupted and efficient
flow of materials to meet the shipment plan.

Providing operational leadership and strategic implementation, the role is
focused on aligning supply with demand and ensuring that key business
objectives relating to forecast, delivery and inventory are met.

Implement management activities to meet both inventory and on time
delivery targets.

Analyse output forecasts against inventory and supply chain data to ensure
that material is available for production and spares demands.

Monitor and maintain data integrity within planning systems and models,
including but not limited to: dates, lead times, balances and offsets.

Review and communicate the impact(s) that SIOP schedule and product
change requests may have on MRP demand.

Ensure an effective flow of information and escalation from the Material

Planners into operational, tier and management meetings.

Recommend and deliver solutions that mitigate operational risk and overcome
issues or gaps as they arise.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with cross functional stakeholders,
including Production, Procurement and Programme Leads.

Drive related functions to expediently close actions and deliver to requirement
e.g KPI attainment, works order completion and drawing changes.

Support inventory reduction projects and the management of forecast orders.
Lead, sponsor or support continuous improvement activities with the team

Set PDR objectives in line with yearly business goals and conduct
regular performance reviews to ensure attainment.
Support and develop team members through regular 1:1s, feedback
and coaching.

**Qualifications**:

- Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and associated material
- planning activities.
- Demonstrable understanding of SIOP, demand management, forecast
- management and change control.
- Experience in directing, planning and scheduling work for themselves
- and others.
- Previous aerospace manufacturing experience preferred but not
- essential.

**Skills**:

- Ability to lead and develop a team.
- Self motivated with a determination to deliver results.
- Excellent organisational skills with an attention to detail.
- Proven analytical, planning and problem solving skills.
- Able to present information clearly and concisely.
- Capable of communicating and influencing across all levels of an organisation.
