**Purpose of Job**:To drive the delivery van and mini-buus for benefit of the Resource Centre Derry and its participants.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

1. Collect donated bulky items from the public.

2. Deliver bulky items to customers.

3. Deliver discarded items to amenity site.

4. Direct and assist in loading and unloading the van. Ensure all stock is handled in an appropriate and safe manner.

5. As required, assist in loading and unloading customer’s or donor’s vehicles.

6. Collecting service users, driving to and from their home.

7. Protect the safety of all passengers by ensuring seat belts are worn, loads are properly secured and by driving in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Highway Code.

8. Provide daily walk around checks and basic maintenance for the vehicle e.g. oil levels, cleaning of vehicles, etc., and assist on a rota basis with delivering the vehicle to the garage, when necessary for service, repairs and MOT of the vehicle to maintain basic working order and prevent unnecessary deterioration of the vehicle.

9. Attend training courses as required and assist in the training of other staff as directed.

10. Complete records as required.

11. Agree daily workload with the Shop Manager.

12. Comply with Health & Safety, Fire Regulations and other company policies.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
