To support the team in effective clinic management, arranging and rescheduling appointments, to ensure that patients receive an efficient administrative service in respect of their care Undertake a full range of secretarial and administrative duties, including preparation of correspondence, reports and ad hoc documentation as directed, using a range of software packages To participate in the reception function for the AAAS Service including answering the telephone and dealing with queries which at times requires tact, sensitivity and emotional resilience in responding to patients who may be unwell. To ensure appointments are entered onto the Trusts Clinical Data System and appointment letters are attached electronically. To undertake typing at a high level via direct dictation, audio transcription or hand written draft of clinical letters and reports Take part in Personal Review Development (PDRs) with the Administrator Lead, identifying training needs to keep abreast of change as required. To attend mandatory training and any other training courses relevant to the post To work closely with other administrative staff to ensure continuity of administration support and mutual assistance within the Service.

It will be expected that the post holder will need to provide cover for team members in times of absence such as annual leave, sickness etc, and additionally where the workload of the Team requires it
