**Responsibilities**:
You will be accountable for the strategic development and day to day delivery of IT operational services and will be the driving force to ensure that users get maximum benefits from IT.
My client is looking for an experienced manager who is comfortable working with autonomy and who can make business critical decisions reporting directly to the Managing Partner.
Manage a team of support staff and nurture a positive working environment
Have oversight of the internal BA who is responsible for delivering change and transformation across the firm
Be a central point for heads of departments and partners to come to when they need something more from IT, be able to quantify the issue, prioritise and manage their expectations
Review / Liaise with the 3rd party IT team regarding outstanding tickets and projects Manage and assist the help desk team and oversee all IT training needs of the business.
Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time using a helpdesk management ticketing software
Rapidly establish a good working relationship with users and other professionals
Oversee and proactively evaluate new technology for the firm
Programme manage all during project rollouts, coordinate with the relevant parties, bring in additional resource if required and report to the business
Maintain and review the annual IT budget, including all hardware, software and development spend alongside the Managing Partner.
In particular manage the contract renewals of the various products and services
Experience needed
Must have experience in a legal or professional services organisation at Manager or 'Head of' level
Be able to lead a team
Be able to manage expectations and workload
Strong technical skills
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
Understanding of a legal practice and structure
Excellent people and communications skills
Proven ability to oversee projects up to £500k
People oriented and results driven
Flexible in approach and ability to multi-task
A strong commitment to the firm's success
Excellent negotiation skills
Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
