**BI Data Analyst**

needed by a leading insurance company

**City of London**

Some hybrid working on offer.

**Permanent role, £50,000 - £60,000**
**Target bonus - 12.5%**

This role will work in the Reporting Team within Business Information & Analytics to deliver on data, reporting and analytical needs. will develop current reporting solutions to ensure the team has the highest level of quality data available for reports;will involve use of current technologies and exploring use of regular MS updates and new tools available.
The role will also deal with ad-hoc queries to assist in writing efficient DAX and using the most appropriate features
available in the Power platform.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support functions across the business with data and analysis
- Produce clear and concise reports to analyse business activity
- Collect and understand requirements for new PowerBI reporting and deliver new reports.
- Maintain and enhance existing reports and datasources
- Collaborate with the team to take a new perspective on existing solutions, embracing the new features and tools
- realeased by Microsoft
- Investigate new software/concepts that may assist MI or the business
- Promote the use of data and the profile of MI within the company
- Research new data availability that will enrich current data offerings and reports

**Skills and Experience**

A data enthusiast with advanced skills and proven experience with tools and teqniques such as...
- SSAS, Tabular models, DAX and PowerBI
- Advanced SQL and excellent working knowledge of SSRS,SSMS
- Advanced Excel
- Effectively uses and manipulates data from databases and I.T. systems
- Understanding of data management principles
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- sensible judgement, meticulous attention to detail and will be highly service focussed
- The ability to work in a small team, coach peers and add value and prioritise stakeholder needs
- Requires strong and relevant work experience gained in a similar role
