Laboratory Technician
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to work for a manufacturer company based in Basingstoke. This is a full-time, 12-month maternity cover contract.
Responsibilities as a Laboratory Technician:
- Oversee day to day activities of UKAS temperature calibration laboratory according to company procedures
- Conduct traceable and accredited calibrations under the quality system
- Record calibration data to enable calibration certificates to be issued
- Perform an initial assessment of instrument faults during calibration
- Update all related electronic trending and tracking spreadsheets
- Participate in laboratory activities, internal audits, and non-conformances
Requirements:
- Previous experience working under a quality system
- Previous calibration experience
- Has a Scientific or Engineering background
- Experience working in a UKAS environment is desirable
- Good communication and organisational skills
This Laboratory Technician position is a full time, 12-month maternity cover contract. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am - 16:30pm. The salary is between £22,000 - £24,000 per annum, depending on experience.
