Part Time Veterinary Surgeon
Kingswood Vets, Woking
Salary up to £65,000 pro rata DOE plus benefits

At Kingswood Vets we know one size doesn’t fit all

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. We offer a good mix of consults and theatre time but are happy to flex to suit you. We recognise that one size doesn’t fit all so this role could suit a consult only Vet or someone pursuing a certificate.

A surgery cert holder, visiting cardiologist and orthopaedic surgeon- perfect for development

We are a team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons (6.5FTE), 10 Nurses (8.5 FTE, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 3 Student Veterinary Nurses) with an amazing support team of 12 who do all the hard work to keep the practice running smoothly. We have a surgery certificate holder, dental vet, imager, and a vet part way through an ophthalmology certificate plus a visiting cardiologist and orthopaedic surgeon to learn from.

Work life balance that flexes with you

This is a part time position and you will ideally carry out 20-30 hours per week anywhere between 8am and 7pm, preferably with 1:4 Saturdays (alternating am only and all day). We are genuinely flexible about how the hours are split, for example it can be 2-3 long days or 4-5 shorter days, we can flex to suit you. There is no OOH or bank holiday work.

The rota is organised to allow dedicated time for admin so we can ensure we have the time needed to work up cases and provide the excellent care our clients deserve.

As work life balance is important to us, Woking is full of things to do. We are surrounded by golf courses, country parks like Lightwater Country Park, RHS Garden Wisley, unspoiled scenic walks which include Pyrford Lock, a theatre, galleries, and The Living Planet Centre. We have great transport links, being around 30 minutes from London Centre on the train.

Join an established, purpose-built practice

Kingswood Vets is a well-established local practice in Woking. We moved to a new purpose-built hospital premises in 2018. We have 4 consult rooms, 2 theatres, dental and imaging rooms, separate dog, and cat wards We have a really good mix of well-insured clients wanting gold standard plus RSPCA and other charity work. We have all the usual toys and more including tonopen, slit lamp, surgical diathermy, digital dental x-ray. Plenty of time to work up cases with support available if needed.
