**About the role**
We are looking for an experienced surface treatment agent who will have responsibility for ensuring all surface treatments schemes/programmes are delivered safely, on time and to budget. Includes but not limited to CW Surface Dressing, Micro Asphalt, FW Slurry Seal, Pre-patching/prep works.

**What you'll be doing**
Management of supply chain partners and operatives on site

to deliver a programme of works.

Key point of contact for the Client Rep and SCP for developing programmes and performance

reporting.

Weekly/Monthly planning, programming and integration of works, minimising road

space occupancy.

Provide close liaison with commercial team to ensure accurate estimates are produced

Ensure works, are carried out to client specification and delivered to agreed costs

and provide accurate records for commercial team.

Management of Quality, Health & Safety and environment in all operations.

Review method statements and risk assessments to current working

practices and legislation to ensure they are sufficient for the works to be undertaken.

Engage the Client and Supply chain in early contractor involvement pre-start of any scheme work to ensure effective, efficient and safe delivery of all works.

Ensure contract targets/KPI’s are met and maintained

Arrange that all operatives in the gangs are given site inductions prior to any site activities starting and daily briefings prior to commencing any activity;
Ensure all site personnel have the correct authorizations to operate plant or receive permits;
Ensure and monitor that all site personnel have the correct PPE and welfare facilities on site;
Monitor progress against the program for the construction activities;
Ensure that accidents and incidents are promptly reported, giving accurate details established at the time of the incident;
Ensure Permit to Work near Existing Services documentation is clearly and correctly carried out for all ground breaking activities related to construction works

Communicate safety alerts and information to all persons involved in construction operations;
Assist the Safety Department to investigate accidents, incidents and near misses;
Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Some Flexible/out of hrs working will be required where workload dictates.

**Who we're looking for** Minimum qualifications and skills**
- Full driving licence
- SSSTS

**Experience - preferred**
- Highway Maintenance, particularly within Surface Treatments
- Highway / Civil Construction
- Construction, Design and Maintenance experience (CDM)
