Purchasing Buyer

Trade Team is currently looking for a Purchasing buyer to join our client on a permanent basis in the Whitby area

**Daily Duties**:

- Obtain quotes for goods and services
- Develop and generate purchase orders.
- Implement the contract strategies with the objective of meeting business requirements for assurance of supply, quality service, cost, innovation, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations.
- Obtain supplies and services within a reasonable cost
- Maintain a good business relationship and communications link with suppliers and on-site personnel
- Enroll & Train suppliers in our processes and maintain the accuracy of our vendor file
- Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information

**Working Conditions**:

- Works between a high-end office environment and mining site as required

**Education and Work Experience**:

- Educated to A Level standard with GCSEs Grade C passes, including English & Math or equivalent
- Extensive experience in a similar role managing client-side purchasing resources.
- Experience in contract administration and management in a construction environment.
- Strong track record of negotiating procurement / buying terms and conditions
- High level of computer literacy, including MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

**Salary**:

- £32,000 per annum
