General and Task Management
- Managing and supervising the team of bakers, assist in the training of new members.
- Maintain high standards of quality, monitoring the team production.
- Communicating with other members of the bakery team to ensure that orders are delivered on time and that production runs smoothly
- Maintaining clean work areas and equipment to prevent contamination and spoilage of food products
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control of ingredients and supplies.
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy.
- Testing recipes outcome to monitor taste, texture and identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays.
- Adhere and monitor the team on health and safety
- Manufacture goods and bakes to company standards

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Preparation and baking of all bread items in the baker´s department, according to the established standards and customer satisfaction is his/her major responsibility.

REPORTS TO
- The Senior Baker reports directly to the Head Baker.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Be responsible for the immediate working area
- The preparation of bread, rolls and other typical bakery products.
- Cleaning Procedures for the section assigned to you.
- Be responsible for all food storerooms including fridge and freezer in your section.
- Be responsible for maintenance and cleaning in the respective section.
- Take part in food storage (quality and quantity controls) when required.
- Maintain the high standard presentation of food.
- Participate in all kitchen activities to the agreed standards and to the complete satisfaction of the customers.
- The preparation and cooking of bakery products to the highest standards to ascertain an efficient food production.
- Assure that all bakery items are prepared and served according to established standards and practices.
- Minimize spoilage and utilize food surpluses.
- Train personnel in the bakery on a continuous basis.
- Forward suggestions for improvements in raw material, menus, cost savings and equipment.
- Be aware of all fire, safety and emergency procedures.
- Performs other duties if required since above stated describe only a regular working day.
- Be prepared to work overtime if requested.
- Attending weekly meetings with the Head Baker/Operations manager

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- The Senior Baker is responsible for the proper cleaning and sanitary matters for their section, fridges etc.
- Ensures that all their bakery staff members fulfil these requirements and follows-up on their performance.
- Handles all working material and equipment with the necessary care and keeps it well cleaned.
- Reports all necessary repairs to their Superior and follows-up on repairs.
- Be familiar with proper sanitation procedures and follow the Public Health requirements.

APPEARANCE/PERSONAL HYGIENE
- The appearance of the entire personnel in the bakery reflects the reputation and image of the company; therefore, a great deal of emphasis is placed on a professional appearance.
- The Company expects you to maintain the highest standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Have a clean neat personal appearance.
- Special attention to grooming, hygiene care and clean and proper uniforms and shoes.
- Hair must be well groomed, neat and always be kept clean.
- The only jewellery permitted in the food preparation areas is a wedding band.
- Smoking is not permitted while on duty.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
