Midday Assistant

St Swithun’s Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Midday Assistants to work 5 hours per week. We are a ‘good’ school with well-behaved children and a very supportive staff in the heart of Southsea.

Hours are 11.45 am - 12.45 pm Monday - Friday, term time only, 39 weeks

Contract/Hours: 5 hours per week, term time only

Salary Details: Band 1, FTE £22,183 - £22,366, pro-rata £2,599 - £2,621

Required Start Date: 2nd September 2024

Closing Date: 10th June 2024

Interview Date: 17th June 2024
- Supervising and assisting children in the dinner hall to collect, eat and clear away their meals
- Supervising and engaging children in play activities on the playground
- Ensuring children play together positively and co-operatively with good behaviour
- Administering first aid, and
- During periods of ‘wet play’ engage children in suitable classroom activities, ensuring classroom behaviour expectations are upheld.
