Trigon Recruitment are exclusively recruiting for a well reputed Training Provider with a strong presence in the West Midlands. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maths Tutor to deliver to young people on the Study Programme. This is a scheme designedto develop the employability and functional skills of the participants. Based in Wednesbury working a Monday to Friday working week. Please note that this is an office based role with face to face delivery - no remote working is available. You will be experiencedin delivering GCSE Maths as well as Functional Skills Maths though the majority will be Functional Skills.

**Job Outline & Purpose**
- To deliver a good quality of education to groups of students
- To deliver maths qualifications - Functional Skills and GCSE, in line with awarding body requirements
- To mark, assess and provide constructive feedback on students’ work
- Contribute towards ensuring excellent student attendance & retention
- To provide excellent CEIAG and support (including SEND) to students
- To safeguard the welfare of all students, preventing radicalisation and promoting British Values

**Training**
- To plan training to meet criteria and standards for maths qualifications (Functional Skills & GCSE), as well as the students’ individual needs
- To deliver engaging, effective and innovative group training sessions, so that students develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs)
- To engage external speakers (employers, business people, progression and support agencies) in order to enhance the learning experience
- To ensure that students work skills are developed and that they are ready for working life, or further learning, by the time they leave Juniper
- To provide cover, where necessary, for other tutors

**Assessment**
- To carry out initial assessment activities to identify individual needs, and develop Support Plans, to ensure that students are well-supported and achieve their learning goals
- To mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback to develop their maths skills including, spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG)
- To conduct and document meaningful student reviews, as per procedures, so that students understand the progress they are making and how they can develop their KSBs further
- Assess student readiness for Functional Skills and GCSE exams, through ongoing formative assessment and mock exams
- Invigilate exams, as appropriate

Level 2 English and Maths (minimum)

Level 3 in Maths

Level 3 Teaching qualification (or willing to work towards within 6 months)

Subject specialism - Maths

Level 4/5 Teaching qualification

Delivering training to 16 - 18 year olds
