Working 37.5 hours alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will form an integral part of the multi disciplinary team and be able to forge strong therapeutic relationships with team members and service users. You will support and deliver appropriate treatmentinterventions promoting recovery and be able to evidence the outcomes of occupational therapy intervention.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of online and CPD training courses to support you reach your career goals.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Completing assessments, planning sessions and implementing interventions
- To undertake Occupational Therapy assessments which will identify factors affecting the service user's functional performance
- To demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and evolving ability to problem solve through complex and challenging situations to bring positive outcomes.
- To undertake clinical risk assessment in order to inform the multi-disciplinary care planning process and assist in the creation of risk management plans.
- Able to work flexibly across seven days and outside the traditional 9-5 as the service requires and as agreed with the Hospital Director

**To be successful in this role**:

- Current HPC registration and BOAT membership
- HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
- BSc/MA in Occupational Therapy
- Knowledge and practical experience of the Occupational Therapy process in a mental health setting preferably secure hospitals or locked rehabilitation services
- Experience, knowledge and skill in supervising Occupational Therapy support staff and students
- Ability to plan, facilitate and evaluate individual and group interventions with service users
- Evidence of post graduate continuing professional development
- Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of treatment strategies for women with mental health conditions
- Passion for working with people within inpatient settings and a commitment to involving people in their care and treatment
