We are looking for a permanent part time bookkeeper to join our team at Stoneleigh Park (would also be suitable for self-employed bookkeepers), the role will involve the following:
- All accounts work related to the company and PPS using Pegasus, to include:
Sales Ledger:

- Creating manual invoices for rent, promotional goods etc.
- Transferring data from ILR2 into Pegasus
- Updating sales ledger receipts from the bank statement as well as cheques received
- Banking
- Monthly direct debit run.
- Monthly statements to members
- Chasing bad debts
- Taking credit card payments over the phone
- Chasing auction commission and entering the relevant information on to Pegasus

Purchase Ledger:

- Updating the purchase ledger spreadsheet for the treasurer to agree each month.
- Entering all purchase invoices onto Pegasus and coding to the correct nominal ledgers
- Monthly payment run.
- Checking supplier statements
- Re-invoicing goods to relevant companies, i.e. Beef Shorthorn, Rugby Farmers Market

Other:
Monthly bank reconciliation

Monthly journals

Closing the month ends and saving reports

Providing P&L information each month as well as debtor reports, bad debts, membership figures, registration figures and inspection figures for the executive committee

Submitting vat return on a quarterly basis

Assist with preparing information for Gift Aid each year

Assist accountants with the yearly audit and create and send year end reports

This role requires the applicant to be flexible in their working attitude to cover the tasks required at the appropriate time each month, especially be available for the last few days and first few days of each month. In return we can offer a flexible working pattern. There is also free parking on site.

The company is also looking to move from its existing Pegasus accounting package to Xero and subsequently the pedigree management software to streamline the accounting practices.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £25,696.00-£26,479.00 per year

Expected hours: 5 - 7 per week
