**Salary**:£30K to Increase on Pass of Probation

**Hours**:42/46HR Flexible, core hours are 39/week - 7.30-4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30-12.30pm Friday (with unpaid lunch break 12.30-1pm).

**Responsibility for**:

- Weld inspection
- Tack-up
- DPI
- Visual
- Dimensional acceptance of fabricated components using standard measuring equipment
- In-process inspection
- Final inspection
- Goods Inwards
- Raising defect reports

**Person Specification**
- Must be able to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings
- Have an understanding of geometrical tolerancing (preferably BS8888).
- Competent in using standard measuring equipment.
- Experienced in word & excel.
- PCN or DPI Level 2
- PCN or Weld inspection Level 2
- Several years welding experience of inspection activities
- Proactive and dynamic approach in challenging existing processes
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of best practice for welding of a variety of materials, such as: Stainless steels, Duplex SS, C-Mn steels, aluminium, and nickel-based alloys.
- Knowledge of welding Standards. However, full training can be given to the successful applicant.
