Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - Early shift begins 6am, Late shift begins 9amActivus Recruitment are seeking a Trainee Distribution Operative to join our clients team in Cove, Aberdeen.
You will be part of a team responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective distribution of materials, plant and equipment throughout companies ensuring service delivery performance and customer satisfaction are met.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and maintain systems such that orders are received, processed, and actioned ensuring delivery requests and deadlines are met in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensure the fleet utilisation is maximised with both internal and external hires and providing monitoring reports to demonstrate it.
- Use the vehicle tracking system to ensure the fleet use is maximised
- Liaise with the Fleet Maintenance Department with regards to fleet availability ensuring vehicles are made available for inspections, servicing, MOTs etc
- Proactively liaise with internal and external customers regarding orders and distribution requirements.
- Ensure all delivery tickets are collected, completed in full and waiting time processed.
- Assist with hiring additional external fleet assets to meet internal and external delivery requests.
- Ensure all drivers both internal and external are given the correct delivery instructions and appropriate Weighsoft numbers are required.
- Assist with the accurate preparation of all internal charging mechanisms and invoices for internal and external fleet hire ready for processing by the Finance Department.
- Ensure all invoices received from external parties are checked as accurate and correct before being handed to department head for approval
- Ensure the regular flow of all other administrative information to HQ and other operational departments.
- Ensure clear lines of communication are maintained with internal and external customers
- Assist with establishing and maintaining a customer satisfaction survey and report feedback
- Promote a team working philosophy whilst motivating and supporting the workforce.
- Act as an ambassador for the company ensuring visitors, customers and staff is communicated to in a polite and courteous manner.

- Develop personal skills and knowledge base through on-going training
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
- To carry out and reasonable ad hoc duties as requested.
