I am hiring for a Senior Solutions Architect for one of the largest Restaurant chains globally. The Senior Solution Architect (SA) role sits in the Architecture Capability within the business Digital Product Delivery (DPD) group. The role works primarilyon digital initiatives delivered by Agile delivery workstreams or project teams. Occasionally, Retail, cross-channel or corporate initiatives may also require this role’s expertise.

The Senior SA is a highly proficient, customer facing professional capable of bridging business and technical domains. The role possesses a solid combination of solution architecture, technical implementation, and stakeholder management. It is a hands-onrole within Sprint or project level initiatives.

Moreover, the role brings creativity to work with the Lead SA to evaluate and introduce business-relevant technology by developing proof-of-concepts and championing technology change with the Business.

This role reports into the Lead SA and works alongside teams from other Capabilities specifically, Delivery, Business Analysis, Software Engineering, QA & Testing, InfoSec, and Infrastructure.

**RESPONSIBILITY**
- Engage with (senior) stakeholders (internal and external) to understand their environment and business needs.
- Work alongside Product Managers to ideate, explore and define the best fit solution to their business requirements.
- Work within delivery teams alongside Product Managers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Testers to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and well understood.
- Lead the development of architectures for business requirements, ensuring consistency with specified Architecture standards and those agreed with InfoSec, Infrastructure, and internal customers.
- Document high-level and detailed solution designs (including NFRs), that conform to enterprise technical standards and meet the "ilities".
- Run design workshops with technical and non-technical participants.
- Take full responsibility for the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements within one or more parallel delivery initiatives.
- Provide an assurance role, ensuring that all architecture activities and deliverables (produced in-house or externally outsourced), are produced to a high quality and are consistent with standards, policies, and strategies.
- Aware of industry and technology advancements to develop proof-of-concepts that validate and justify business needs, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare/provide input to business cases.
- Contribute to enterprise technology standards and policy for solution design and implementation.
- Ensure appropriate standards (corporate, industry, legislative, regulatory and security) are adhered to in designs.
- Guide senior stakeholders with clear explanation to help them accept change brought about through process reengineering or technology.
- Support the Lead SA with Architecture ceremonies, evolving the Capability and enforcing Architecture principles and standards.
- Contribute to process improvements that yield efficiencies or improve design development (ie quality, security and velocity), through continuous improvement of process, methodology, learning and tooling.

**ACCOUNTABILITY**
- Leading the solution design activities across multiple workstreams, from concept, requirements, design, development, and operationalization, to ensure deliverables meet business requirements.
- Ongoing monitoring of solutions in production to ensure they adhere to architecture fitness functions.
- Ensuring accurate and effective solution approaches are defined to prevent design issues further down the solution delivery lifecycle.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY & EXPERIENCE**
- Working in customer-facing roles, providing consultancy and analysis services on a broad range of initiatives.
- Proven background in working within Sprint teams for Agile software delivery.
- Experienced in working on major projects or programme deliveries that led to organisational wide business change.
- Proven experience of working with both internal and Partner teams.
- Strong awareness of industry and technology trends to filter, assess and present new approaches relevant to the business
- Proven experience of developing and evaluating proof-of-concepts.
- Working to KPIs to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Experience of coaching junior Architects and technical implementation teams.
- Experienced in working within PCI, GDPR and highly secure environments.
- Solid Experience of the Microsoft technology stack and Azure Cloud services.
