Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Tramway Attendant to join our team. As a Tramway Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the tramway system, providing excellent customer service to passengers, and maintaining a clean and organized tramway station.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate the tramway system, including starting, stopping, and monitoring the tram cars
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the tram cars in a safe and orderly manner
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, providing information about the tramway system, and assisting passengers with special needs
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by following established safety protocols and procedures
- Monitor passenger behavior to prevent any disturbances or unsafe situations
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the tramway station, including platforms, waiting areas, and restrooms
- Perform routine inspections of the tram cars and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Handle cash transactions for ticket sales and maintain accurate records of sales and revenue
**Skills**:
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with passengers from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations or during emergencies
- Attention to detail to ensure the safety of passengers and proper operation of the tramway system
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records
**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: £11.79 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
