**We are looking for a committed individual to provide enabling support to a young man who lives in the Cramlington area.
He is a 7-year-old boy who lives at home with his family. He would like somebody to come and support him to access age-appropriate activities both at home and in the local community during the school holidays.
The young man has a diagnosis of delayed motor development, and he has ASD - autistic spectrum disorder. He has limited communication, and somebody experienced with using Makaton would be preferred.
There is personal care involved within this role and it is imperative the successful applicant be able to support the young man with this.
Somebody with lots of energy and the commitment to keep this young man occupied would be the ideal applicant. He loves routine and the ideal applicant will be willing to work with his parents to establish a good routine with him during this enabling time.
You must be committed to the role and also to ensuring the safety of the child at all times as he has no sense of danger or risk.
**Rate of Pay: £12.00 per hour**
- 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata per year
- Expenses and mileage will be paid in agreement with the employer

**Hours Breakdown**:

- 3 hours per week during all school holiday weeks x 13 per year

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required, and full cost will be met by the employer.
Training will be provided as appropriate and as an employee through Direct Payments you will have access to training via the local authorities Learning Together platform.
