Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Department: Engineering
- Location: Wigan Facility

Organisational Relationships
The Engineering team supports the whole Wigan Production Unit.The employee will work closely with the following functions and staff.
- Production
- Warehouse
- Health and Safety
- Process and Project Engineering

A multi skilled engineer with an electrical bias to work within a batch and semi-continuous industrial production environment. The role is to provide engineering support for the full range of site equipment including mixers, fillers, presses, spray lines,conveyors, transfers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic, pneumatics, PLCs and product filling systems.

This role will utilise electrical skills to carry out planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns to ensure the highest possible plant efficiency, installation and project work.

**Responsibilities/Tasks**
- Responding to breakdowns in a prompt manner.
- Ensuring the PPM schedule is adhered to.
- Maintaining any documentation for future reference.
- Modification, repair, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, distribution boards, power supply units
- Providing advice and assistance in new equipment installation and project work.
- Identify spare parts requirements and ensure the required stock levels of essential spares are met.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Understanding of industrial and electrical systems
- Welding and machining experience
- Has experience of working in an ATEX environment
- COMPEX trained (not necessary but ideal)
- FLT licence
- IPAF licence
- Has experience of using a CMMS
- Has worked in a Lean Manufacturing environment

**Personal Qualities**
- Self-motivated and working in a small team.
- Working under own initiative to problem solve.
- Ability to interact with a range of contractors and suppliers
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good communication skills
- PC literate
