**About the role**:
It's an exciting time to join the Change team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers, and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us build our Change capability, accelerate the delivery of our strategic programmes, and drive the adoption of improved ways of working and more effective change delivery across UK&I we're looking for an experienced and talented individual to join the growing team.

Working in the Central Change Team, the Head of Delivery is responsible for leading, optimising, prioritising, and reporting on all AXA UK&I transversal programmes by ensuring that tools, methodologies, resources, and capabilities created and gathered by the Central Change team are appropriately leveraged to delivery great outcomes for our colleagues and customers.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Accountable for the oversight of all transversal investment and delivery programmes, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to scope and quality standards
- Applies the appropriate project management discipline and establishes an effective project organisation structure, ensuring stakeholder engagement across other functions and 3rd party partners
- Responsible for the development and management of transversal investment plans, budgets, and expenditure within own portfolios
- Oversees overall project planning and management best practice, audit, risk and compliance standards within the Transversal Portfolio through adherence to UK Project Policy
- Ensures effective resource planning across own portfolios
- Works in conjunction with the Head of Capacity & Capability and Chapter leads, to develop and motivate staff, ensuring the skills and capabilities of the department are maintained to support the delivery of all objectives
- Champions the AXA culture and is actively involved in driving culture changes
- Lead and develop continuous improvement plans, to deliver local improvements, including active engagement of the team in wider culture improvement opportunities

**About you**:
**What we’re looking for**:

- Previous experience of enterprise portfolio, strategic and operating plan development, and management
- Extensive experience in the delivery of large, transformational technical programmes and portfolios within complex, federated and multi-organisational environments
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills across a broad range of stakeholder including the C level management team
- Expert understanding of end-to-end IT solutions and the IT delivery lifecycle
- Experience of managing relationships with 3rd parties including establishing contracts and managing quality
- Knowledge of defining and/or delivering organisational change within teams to improve delivery efficiencies and team culture
- Accredited at Project/Programme Management discipline (practitioner level) - MSP / Change Leadership accreditation is desirable
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery models
- Ability to manage and develop people effectively
