Builder & Mate

Ashfield Group is a small enterprise construction company based in West Yorkshire specialising in residential and c commercial new build, refurbishments and conversions, We require an experienced builder and assistant team to join us on our current project in Harrogate immediately.

The position is ongoing on self-employed basis.

You must have experience in carrying out the types of work listed below:

- Structural work
- Padstones
- Steel and blockwork
- Walling
- Concreting
- Flagging
- Lintel replacements
- Lay and bind building materials, such as brick, structural tile, concrete block, cinder block, with mortar and other substances to construct or repair walls, partitions, and other structures.
- Cut or saw bricks to fit around windows and doors.
- Use trowels and other hand tools to spread and smooth mortar.
- Align bricks or blocks to ensure even courses.

Additional Requirements
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to masonry work.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and precision in bricklaying.
- Good communication skills
- Valid UK Driving Licence and own transport
- Keeping to agreed timescales.
- Working within Health & Safety Guidelines
- Must have own tools.
- Working hours Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4:30 pm on site time

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: £14.41-£15.37 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Experience**:

- Construction: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Harrogate, North Yorkshire (required)

Work Location: In person
