Peterborough, United Kingdom Phoenix Marine Solutions & Phoenix Hydraulics Full time

Working at Phoenix you will be manufacturing a wide variety of components ranging from low batch bespoke work to medium batch quantities for production.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

**Skills**:

- Proficient in operating CNC milling and turning machines.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Knowledge of programming languages such as G-code or M-code is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements using precision instruments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Our basic working hours are Mon-Fri 07:30-16:00 + OT when available.
