**A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a childcare play worker to join an out of school club that offers affordable, accessible and high quality care for school age children living in the Cornton area.**

**Our aim is to provide stimulating age-appropriate play activities; provide informal learning opportunities through play; provide a safe and secure care environment for children, promoting a sense of 'place' and belonging and of being valued in a caring environment and community.**
- We are looking for a member of staff, for 5 afternoon sessions Monday through to Friday during term time. This could be ideal for those working or developing towards a career in childcare or education who are looking for an opportunity to complement their studies with hands on experience. All workers in childcare positions are required to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and to adhere to the Code of Practice for Social Services Workers. If you are not currently registered with SSSC we can support you with this. As one of our play workers you will:

- Have an interest in working with children and young people and possibly be studying in a field which builds your experience and expertise in this area.
- Be able to work effectively without close supervision.
- Have experience of working with children aged 5-14 in a group setting and should be able to encourage and support children in the play session. You would be expected to help plan, set up and clear away activities on a daily basis.
- Act as role model for and promote positive behaviour from staff and children.
- Demonstrate strong professional relationships, working closely with other members of small teams of service providers, where flexibility is vital.
- Be enthusiastic with good interpersonal skills, interacting positively and respectively with the children in your care as well as sharing children's progress with parents on a daily basis.

**Salary Dependant on experience & qualifications - Hours
- 16.5 hours per week approx. (3pm until 6.15pm daily). Additional hours may be required on occasion.**
