2023-05-08**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor compliance and data practices internally to ensure that the business and its functions comply with the applicable requirements under the Data Protection Act (2018) and UK GDPR. (e.g. data processing agreements, records of processing, security etc.)Evaluate the existing data protection framework to identify areas of no or partial compliance and rectify any potential issues.

Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all business units of the company.

Assist the business in preparing, then reviewing and evaluating Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Transfer Risk Assessments (TRAs) from across the business

Maintain records of all data processing activities of the business including DPIAs and TRAs

Review data processing agreements and work with designated legal counsels across the business and, where necessary, outside counsel to help advise on data privacy law issues.

Develop strategies and initiatives to ensure engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinate and conduct data privacy audits.

Generate policy and procedures for Data Protection compliance.

Provide assurance that personal information across the Group is managed in compliance with current and proposed Data Protection legislation and policies.

Advise and supports business teams in understanding their obligations under data protection legislation to meet user and information management needs.

Perform internal audit and reviews to assess data protection compliance.

Act as lead contact for all ICO data protection queries and investigations.

Data Mapping Ensure information assets containing personal information are identified, managed, and have effective controls and data processing agreements/security arrangements in place.

**You will be able to demonstrate the following**:
Degree or Professional Industry experience Essential

Professional GDPR/Data Protection Qualifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent (preferred)

Preferably acting as DPO in the current or previous position

Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence colleges.
