Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cable Jointer and Cable Jointer's Mate to join our team. As a Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical cables and wiring systems. The Cable Jointer's Mate will assist the Cable Jointer in their duties. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, electrical expertise, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Cable Jointer in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical cables and wiring systems
- Dig trenches and lay cables underground
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary
- Perform cable jointing and termination activities
- Conduct tests to ensure proper functioning of cables and connections
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Cable Jointer or similar role is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of electrical systems
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to dig trenches and perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of cable jointing techniques and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- MUST be able to do live joints.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: Up to £25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
