The Building Safety Project Manager will operate across the Building Safety Team working on a range of specialist activities, such as the inspection of tall blocks to ensure the safety of cladding systems, compartmentation surveys, the identification ofremediation works and also the preparation of Safety Case Files and Safety Case Reports to meet the requirements of the Building Safety Regulator.

The role requires the review of existing building safety data, under take gap analysis and develop appropriate action plans to support the requirements for full and complete building information.

The role requires the active management of building safety across the Council's housing assets, particularly, in respect of high-rise blocks, ensuring buildings are safe, well maintained and improvements undertaken where required

The Building Safety Project Manager will provide a specialist operational function working to ensure the detailed technical inspection of buildings, the identification of remedial works where required and the instruction of fire engineers and other specialistsas necessary to ensure that our buildings are safe. Supporting compliance with both statutory and non-statutory legislation, Building Regulations and the requirements of the Building Safety Act.

**To undertake the following duties as listed below**:
- To lead on the inspection of buildings in scope to ensure structural and fire safety. Managing the cladding and block inspection process, EWS1 cladding inspections, the requirements of the DLUHC consolidated guidance and industry good practice.
- To work with a range of stakeholders, including but not limited to, fire engineers, consultant surveyors, residents, solicitors, leaseholders, housing staff and staff in other council departments as necessary to deliver planned objectives to prove thatbuildings are safe.
- To prepare and issue reports on the requirements for building remediation, working collaboratively with other teams to ensure that repairs/improvements are expedited efficiently and residents are at all times fully updated.
- Work closely with the Head of Building Safety, others within the Building Safety team and the wider housing management team to develop and deliver effective resident communications to demonstrate that buildings are safe.
- Develop data recording systems to support the collection of key building information to support both the effective technical inspection of buildings but also the preparation of building Safety Case Files and Reports.
- Work to deliver the "golden thread" of information for building safety - working with the development teams, building safety team members and the IT and data team to develop new and innovative solutions to the collection, identification, recording
- Maintain an expert understanding of statutory and regulatory building safety requirements, building regulations and guidance.
- Review existing building safety data, under take gap analysis and develop appropriate action plans to support the requirements for full and complete building information.
- Review building safety data, ensuring that it is digital by default, reliable, accurate and available. Make recommendations and develop action plans for data requirements.
