Vast Visibility specializes in technology which powers Insurance Price Comparison Websites, working with almost all of the major UK Price Comparison brands. Our business is run from our waterfront office in Liverpool, which is where the role is based. We also help support fellow companies in Leeds, Jersey and even Romania - so there are plenty of finance quirks to get involved in We are a part of the Howden Broking Group, which is one of the largest insurance groups in the world.

Our modern, friendly, open plan office is home to our 30 UK employees and office dog. We are currently operating a hybrid model of working, allowing our employees a flexibility around where and when they work.

This is a great opportunity for the successful applicant to really make the role their own whilst receiving system or task-related guidance if required.

You will be given the chance to truly understand the meaning behind the numbers and have interaction across the whole business and group.

**What you'll do**

The role is all encompassing, covering day to day accounting, transactional processes, monthly management accounts, financial statements, and as the company grows there will be opportunities to get involved in an array of other activities and projects as they arise.

You will help prepare the monthly management accounts for the group, as well as having responsibility for some of the other individual entities accounts. You'll work closely with the other entities and the wider group to ensure the accuracy of reported figures. Additionally, you will also help review and analyze these results so that we can produce the necessary reporting for the business, which will help the Leadership and Management Teams make the correct decisions.

There are also some traditional finance tasks we can't escape, such as our annual financial audit where you will play a key part in providing any requested information such as supporting evidence, documentation or explaining our controls.

**Who you are**

You will have 3-5 years experience of preparing Management Accounts for a £1m-£20m turnover business

You will have qualifications in finance. This could either be AAT (fully qualified) or part qualified ACCA/CIMA.

You will be organized when dealing with multiple priorities, completing tasks in a logical way, communicating early if there are challenges to meeting deadlines.

You will remain calm under pressure, overcoming any problems encountered when we complete our quick month and year end turnarounds.

You will know when to find the solution yourself and know when to escalate.

You are curious - you could simply follow a process, but you would rather understand how the business works and why you are doing the process.

You will be able to communicate with anyone in the business in both financial and non-financial ways.

You will have pride in the work you do paying close attention to the detail required.

You get a good sense of satisfaction from helping your colleagues with finance support, closing down the month end, and getting good feedback from the auditors
