**Job Description**:
Our client, a highly respected Higher Education establishment based in Forres, require an Accommodation Assistant on a temporary basis for 8 weeks. The salary for the position is £12.72 per hour working 35 hours per week.

**Main purpose of role**:
Support the operation and administration of the halls of residence. The Accommodation Officer will provide a welcoming, visible and effective service to ensure a stable and safe environment for our customers.

**Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Support the operation and administration of the accommodation sites and acting as the first point of contact to students and contractors on the Campus accommodation
- Responsible for the Health and Safety protocols of the Campus accommodation, including producing and managing all aspects of the maintenance schedules and inspection schedules
- Responsible for conducting inspections for rooms and apartments across the Campus
- Produce Risk Assessments for Student Properties ensuring any issues are followed up accordingly
- Oversee incident response - fire/ first aid /site security in week day, day time hours
- Assist with the current customers at The Royal Halls and Rental Apartments, time will be split between all sites
- Be the estates activity liaison with customers repair requests and responsible for liaison with site contractors to ensure work is scheduled promptly and completed accurately
- Liaison with Estates to schedule when maintenance can happen for all properties and engage with Contractors, Starrez and the Maintenance Manager
- Responsible for updating and maintaining relevant administration and reporting systems
- Assist with the administration of Starrez halls system which is our main customer facing portal and back office site operation
- Support with the communications with prospective bookers and current customers looking to vacate
- Accountable for mail and parcel management for our customers
- Working with the Yield and Marketing Officer in regard to elements of social media and halls promotion
- Working alongside Reslife to support event ideas and organisation/ordering of materials
- Contribute to compiling the content and production of halls print materials including applicant materials
- Responsible in maintaining office and key security
- Ordering consumables, i.e. stock and equipment
- May be required to work additional hours around peak times including arrival weekend or events

**Key Skills and Requirements**:

- Experience of the housing/hospitality/customer service sector is desirable
- Able to work on own initiative
- Ability to work well under pressure, flexible to change as situations adapt
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Cooperative and flexible with the ability to adapt to varied and changing needs of the business
- Positive and can-do proactive approach

- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Manual Handling and COSHH
- Knowledge of Data Protection
- Previous experience of working between several sites
- Computer and IT literate
- Full driving license and access to own car
