Kennel Hand

**KENNEL HAND - Experience of working with Rescue Dogs who have complex needs is Essential.**

We are currently seeking to recruit a full time Kennel Hand, who is committed to providing an excellent standard of care to our rescue dogs.

1 year minimum experience working with rescue dogs
A genuine interest in canine welfare is essential
Team player skills
Practical hands-on, can-do and a hard-working approach to work
Excellent time-keeping and attendance to work
Valid driving licence with own transport arrangements
40 hours a week on a rota pattern, including every other weekend and bank holidays

**Duties will include**:
Handling dogs with behavioral issues
Caring for dogs with a confident, patient and kind approach
Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kennels
Assisting in administering appropriate health care treatments
Working with challenging dogs to gain their trust and confidence
Liaising with members of the public who express an interest in re-homing a rescued dog
