Security Guard

Overview:
We are one of Europe’s leading food processing companies and have vacancies within a strong existing team of Security Guards, whose goal is to assist in the efficient running of our lamb abattoir site.

We are currently looking for a guard on a 06.00 - 18.00 Wednesday shift and 18.00- 06.00 Saturday shift, with the opportunity of more hours when holiday cover is required. This role provides attractive part time hours for those looking for work to fit around a busy lifestyle.

**Responsibilities**:
Your role will be:

- To control access to and from the site, greet visitors, staff, and contractors to the site, take their personal and vehicle details and head them in the right direction.
- To ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Ensure that those who should not be granted access to the sites are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access and escorted from the premises.
- Provide support in an emergency or evacuation.
- Make sure the CCTV system is professionally, effectively, and sensitively monitored
- Regular Patrols to make sure the area is safe and act as a visual presence.
- Undertaking routine compliance checks and documenting findings.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

- Full UK Driving License & Access to a vehicle is preferrable as we are in a rural location with little access to public transport
- Proactive and flexible working approach
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work individually and use own initiative
- Ability to work within a small team dynamic
- Previous security sector experience is desired but not essential, as conscientious and responsible applicants will be considered and full training provided.
