**What we are looking for**:
Nottinghamshire Mind has a strong reputation locally. We work closely in partnership with other local reputable statutory and VCSE providers and always deliver what we promise to achieve. Our fast paced organisation employs passionate, committed people who often work above and beyond expectations.

This post holder will work closely with the Operations Manager and Chair of the Board of Trustees, as well as other members from the SLT, including HR. We are looking for someone who has experience in leadership roles and leading organisations. They should have excellent networking skills, able to build relationships with key influencers, commissioners and funders across statutory, corporate, VCSE and other stakeholders.

This role will suit someone who is innovative, visionary, organised and enjoys a challenge. The person who is appointed, will be passionate about mental health, able to evidence a commitment to the voice of people we serve, will actively champion equality, inclusion and diversity in their practice, and share the values of our organisation in order to be mission aligned.

37 hours Travel across the region

To work as part of the Senior Leadership Team sharing responsibility for leadership, strategic direction and development of Nottinghamshire Mind, ensuring the organisation is compliant with all relevant legislation.

**Job purpose**
- Work with the Board of Trustees to develop ongoing organisational strategic priorities
- Maximise NM impact, ensuring the best outcomes for people across communities
- Build strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders across the area, including staff, commissioners, funders and VCSE organisations
- Run the organisation efficiently and effectively by ensuring that there is an appropriate management structure and management systems in order to fulfil strategic objectives and to carry out the work

- Proven leadership experience at a senior executive level, preferably within the charitable or mental health sector.
- Demonstrated experience in income generation, financial management, and organisational development as well as influencing and negotiation.
- Understanding of key issues/service provisions/systems within mental health
- Understanding of Tendering/Procurement/Funding processes
- Understanding of charity governance and compliance
- Skills and abilities
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, translating vision into action.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Ability to represent the organisation, and its beneficiaries, influencing the wider mental health system and bringing about positive change.

- Operational Management: Provide effective leadership and management of all aspects of the organisation, including programs, services, finances, and human resources.
- Income and Partnerships: Drive income generation, cultivate strategic partnerships, and diversify revenue streams to ensure financial sustainability.
- Public Relations: Serve as a visible and influential advocate for mental health issues, representing Nottinghamshire Mind to all stakeholders, the media, and the public.
- System Influence: To leverage your leadership position and understanding of the interconnected systems that shape mental health in Nottinghamshire for the positive benefit of individuals, communities, staff, and the organisations positioning locally.
