**Job overview**:
We have an exciting and new opportunity for a Creative Therapist to join our CAMHS mental health inpatient team based at Sowenna, working with young people with severe and enduring mental health presentations.

This is a great time to be joining an expanding therapy team and the post will provide the opportunity to contribute to the development of therapeutic approaches at Sowenna, working within a creative and innovative multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for someone with qualifications and experience in a creative therapy (could be art, music, play, drama etc.) preferably within children’s mental health services, although this is not essential. The successful clinician will be required to draw upon the developing evidence base to support assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation processes at Sowenna. This will include contributing to the development of individual and group patient treatment programmes and supporting the development and implementation of training packages and reflective ward-based practices.

**Main duties of the job**:
To contribute to the provision of a Psychology and Psychological Therapies Service at Sowenna, our children and adolescent in-patient unit in Cornwall. To support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients, their families and carers within the service, across all sectors of care. To provide psychological assessment and psychological interventions (individual and group) in line with clear guidelines and with the support of regular clinical supervision. To contribute to the effectiveness of the assessment and treatment of our inpatient service delivery and to assist in clinically related
administration, conduct of audits, teaching, consultation processes and project work.
