**Project Manager - Facades/Cladding/Building Envelope)**
- **Sheffield based**:
- **£50k per annum plus package - Salary Negotiable(dependent upon experience)**
Our client is a leading Principal Contractor, specialising in the design, supply, installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of curtain walling & cladding projects.
**Requirements**:
- 10+ years' experience working as a Project Manager.
- Extensive experience working on major projects (value ranging from £5 million to £25 million plus) with a proven continual history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- A comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of a range of differing facade types and systems.
- Ability to plan your own schedules and liaise directly with the end client and their teams.
- Proficient in operating AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Have previous experience working alongside or within a design office and have a full understanding of the fabrication processes.
- Detailed understanding of fire engineering
- Dependable, organised, and methodological with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Must be dynamic and responsible.
- Have excellent leadership & communication skills.
- Hold a Managers CSCS card & First Aid certificate.
- A relevant qualification in Project Management (Degree, Masters, CIOB or equivalent) would be preferred, but not essential.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Take overall responsibility for the successful execution of the project - must provide strong leadership to the full site team.
- Take full responsibility of the site financial budget - must be commercially astute.
- Have a solid understanding of Contract practice (JCT, NEC etc.) and how it should be monitored and administered.
- Ability to answer technical questions for multiple façade types and strategically find, develop & implement solutions.
- Must be able to ensure that the Project team fully understands the design and specification requirements of the Project, and ensure full compliance is maintained from site commencement through to handover.
- Continually manage the construction programme, work schedules and report site progress to the Board of Directors at regular intervals.
- Manage labour levels and skill requirements at the various stages of the Construction Programme.
- Ensure that the QA process is implemented and maintained for the duration of the works on site.
- Liaise directly with the design team to discuss potential issues, and with procurement teams to ensure orders are placed and delivered to site in accordance with the project programme to maintain undisrupted progress on site.
- Early identification and notification of Variations and assist in pricing where necessary.
- Notification of delays, including cause and effect analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of RAMS, method statements, temporary works packages and site reports.
- Daily work plan briefings.
- Attend and chair regular meetings on and off site, often face to face with the Client.
- Be responsible for managing and motivating the site team to maintain a positive work environment.
- Maintain high levels of health & safety throughout the project.
- Maintain and enhance relations with the client, the professional team, local authorities, regulators and the general public.
