**Job Purpose**

The purpose of the role is to assist the Finance team in the day-to-day accounts administrative duties which include accounts payable tasks and helping to accurate post the business’s bills in a timely manner. To reconcile the supplier accounts ensuring all invoices and credit notes are posted. To aid with the smooth day to day running of the company's Finance Department.

As a result of new business and further expansion, we are looking to employ a full-time Finance Apprentice to join our successful Finance team.

**What you’ll be doing**

We don’t expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do. As an apprentice, we’ll help make sure you get the most out of your time with us.

There is scope for great career progression at New Era Fuels to move into even more senior roles as your knowledge of the company and their product offering widens.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To post the business bills using receipted purchase orders
- To work closely with other departments in query resolution.
- Ensuring that the relevant proof of delivery has been received.
- To assist in the weekly payment runs.
- To post credit notes accurately to the ledger.
- To successfully reconcile supplier payments and request any missing invoices or credits notes from suppliers.
- Any other adhoc finance tasks

**Person Specification**
- Competent in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
- Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
- Believes in and exhibits good customer care skills.
- Written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations and fast paced environment.
- Pro-active nature.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable
- Strong organisational skills.
- Drive, determination, and ownership of role.

**Your apprenticeship**
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship you will gain an AAT Level 2 qualification
- Two previous apprentices enrolled in 2020 and are now fully employed members of staff within both HR and Finance teams where they are continuing to develop but are also relied upon all members of staff including Senior management._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £16,640.00 per year
