Team Leader, Accounts Payable

We have a terrific opportunity within our Global Business Services Team for a driven Team Leader to join our Accounts Payable team based in Paisley.

The centre provides financial controllership in the region for two of the Thermo Fisher Scientific groups - 'Life Sciences Solutions' and 'Special Diagnostics', with a large number of entities reporting a total of $2 Billion of revenue per year.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leadership responsibility for process team, with 5 FTEs direct reports
- Responsibility for supervising the team and its delivery of metrics
- Performance management, coaching and resource optimisation
- Responsible for the completion and accurate maintenance of all process documentation
- Lead Tier board and operational engagement sessions
- Business partner across Finance teams to deliver end to end finance support to designated business
- Drive and lead PPI activities (Kaizens & JDI’s) and regularly use continuous improvement methodologies in daily work (small to medium projects)

***Required**:

- Some Team Leader or Supervisory experience
- Experience from a fast-paced environment
- Background from a Shared Services accounting environment within a large-size organisation
- Clear understanding of accounting standards and guidelines.
- Profound knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and process improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with colleagues within and across teams
- SAP or JDE Oracle proficiency would be useful
- Educated to good standard and possibly working towards Accounting degree
