Technical Account Consultant

Location: Home Based / Hybrid (Nasstar office locations available: Wakefield / Telford / Poole)

**Salary**: Competitive base (Negotiable), Bonus + Benefits

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-time

**Overview**:
The Technical Account Consultant has a very proactive role, using our industry leading management and reporting tools to optimise and enhance the performance of our managed service customer networks.

You will provide trusted advice to enhance our customers experience for their Managed Data, Telecommunications, Cloud, Hybrid Cloud and Unified Communications environments.

This includes areas such as: asset management strategies, risk management, information management, reliability centred maintenance and data analytics. You will play a vital role in growing the business, connecting with clients and colleagues alike to create opportunities.
- Attend Customer Meetings.
- Working with Incident Management & Major Incident Managers
- Monthly Reporting
- Maintaining Nasstar documentation
- Supporting Nasstar Colleagues

**Responsibilities**:
**Availability and Performance Reporting**

Produce monthly or quarterly reports reviewing capacity, availability, transit delays, error rates and anything else affecting performance as experienced by users.

**Capacity Management**

Providing pro-active capacity management for services including bandwidth, CPU, memory, storage, licenses.

**End of Life Reporting**

Continuous or periodic review of hardware/software End-of-Life status, upgrade recommendations, input to quotations, support to subsequent implementation.

**Security**

Demonstrate a robust approach to infrastructure security and governance within industry standards. Identify any risks that present an immediate threat to the Infrastructure, the Services, and our customers systems or data.

**Resilience testing**

Definition, planning and support of resilience testing and disaster recovery functions to improve the overall reliability of our customers managed service environment.

**What success looks like?**
- Establish clear and professional communication with customers. Whilst acting as the voice of the customer in seeking mutually acceptable resolution for issues raised.
- Successfully respond to customer interaction by interrogating Nasstar systems directly or working with other resolver teams in a timely manner.

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Cisco CCNA
- Fortinet NSE 3 or above

**Experience**:
Relevant delivery experience in a Technical Consultant Role or closely related consulting environment role, such as Solutions Design, Implementation, or Management Consultancy.

Good technical knowledge of a range of Asset Management capabilities. Strong understanding of network management tools and techniques.

Experience of developing the Lifecycle Consultant capabilities within organisations and maturing the organisational approach to asset management.

Recent experience in an Infrastructure or Engineering sector and ideally strategy -focused and/or operational roles.

Eagerness to develop new skills and commit to further expanding your knowledge within different areas of the role.

Skills / Aptitude:
Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage personal workload.

Willingness to support and ultimately own customer relationships

Strong team player, and able to work effectively and inclusively with remote teams.

Ability to work with a can-do, positive and pro-active attitude and seeing things through to the end.
