Club Excel operates with the specific aim of providing a comprehensive activity program throughout the school holidays which meets the needs of children between the ages of 3-15 years and provides much needed childcare for working parents. Our mission is to provide children the chance to participate in activities which are fun, safe and mentally and physically stimulating through a well-designed program consisting of sports, games, non-traditional sports and exciting activities. We strive to provide a safe, inclusive and fun environment that allows all children to participate, make friends and have fun.

**Purpose of the Job/Principal Duties**

As a Camp Director, you are responsible for managing all aspects of a Club Excel holiday camp. This is a key role within the company as it is the most senior position at Camp. This role involves the ability to manage many different aspects of the Club Excel program in order to provide excellent delivery of all of our programs on site and exceptional customer service to our families.

The Camp Director will be an accomplished communicator with the ability to adapt to different situations in a fast-paced holiday camp environment. They will oversee all departments and staff on site ensuring the smooth operation of the venue. They will ensure all programs are delivered to a high standard. This position requires a strong level of responsibility, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills and the ability work with, and communicate to, children, staff and parents alike.
- To ensure effective and appropriate delivery of the Club Excel program across all departments.
- Manage, train and supervise all staff in order to provide a high quality, fun and safe program.
- Ensure staff are aware of and adhere to all safety guidelines and COVID-19 policies.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager/Company Director to ensure the staff teams are balanced in terms of experience and qualifications and are allocated properly.
- Open the venue each morning and lock up at the end of each day.
- Hold regular staff meetings each morning and at the end of each day, ensuring all staff are aware of their roles and have the resources to be successful.
- Ensure all Club Excel policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Liaise with Head Office regarding bookings, changes, complaints, child issues, etc.
- Liaise directly with parents to resolve any issues that may occur.
- Review all Risk Assessments, making any amendments necessary and ensure staff are aware of risks associated with their activity and are being vigilant.
- Plan and prepare Early and Late Clubs to ensure a balanced program of activities.
- Manage the daily registration process and sign-out procedure.
- Ensure OFSTED regulations are being met and act as the key person during an inspection.
- Prepare activity timetables and ensure all equipment is checked and ready for use.
- Carry out appraisals of all staff and complete activity observations

**Qualifications/Experience - Ideally you will have**:

- A Paediatric First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain.
- Management experience working with children in a school, camp or activity setting.
- Experience training for or working in the Education, Sport, Leisure, or similar industry.
- Knowledge of the rules and organisation of team games and/or sports.
- An interest and ability to organise activities such as team games, group activities, sports, drama, arts & crafts, talent shows, etc.
- *Role is not defined to just these responsibilities, as you may need to be flexible and willing to adapt._
