Premier Engineering has engaged with a key client and a leader in Design, Manufacturer & Installation of Steel Process Machinery. Due to project and team growth a new opportunity has unearthed for**Mechanical Design Engineer** to join on a permanentbasis. This position will be office based, some remote working can be arranged if required. A background of process or plant equipment would be highly advantageous to hit the ground running. 1 stage interview on site.
**Job Summary**:

- Special and heavy machine design experience.
- Proficient Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD user.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review/Production of concept design drawings, layout drawings and detail drawings using 2D and 3D computer aided design software.
- Review/Production of engineering calculations.
- Review/Production of foundation and utilities drawings.
- Review/Production of Bills of Materials to support engineering drawings.
- Ensure that preparation of assigned detail designs are in accordance with formatting, style and general principals of Group drawing office standards as dictated by the Group Engineering Manager.
- To follow and assist in the implementation & development of the Group systems, processes and procedures as directed by the Executive Team.
- Investigation & Development of new products as directed by the Executive Team.
- Liaise with Contract Managers, Sales team and Clients during execution of contracts.
- Liaise with The Company’s sub-suppliers to develop specifications for proprietary items via The Company’s Slovakian based purchasing team where applicable.
- Review of equipment specifications produced by the Sales team prior to producing equipment designs and to bring any perceived deficiencies within the said specifications to the attention of the Group Engineering Manager.
- To assist when necessary in proprietary component selection and purchasing.
- Review/Production of Spares Lists such as but not limited to recommended spares lists associated with any contract entered into with a Company Client.
- Attendance at project and equipment design review meetings with Company Clients at the registered offices and off site at a location agreed between us and the Company Client if required.
- Review/Production of Operating & Maintenance Manuals associated with contracts awarded.
- Provision of technical support to the Group’s Slovakia based engineers during project manufacturing phase if applicable.
- Site surveys at potential and existing Customer Clients’ facilities to obtain design data during both sales and engineering phases.
- Technical support to employees, representatives and agents during the sales phase of projects.
- Technical support to site based staff during installation and commissioning phases.
- Participate in the training of The Company’s employees such as but not limited to apprentices and post-graduate trainees.
