You'll form part of the stock management audit team within the spares and logistics department. You'll follow a schedule of predetermined stock counts that cover the entire area of United Utilities (UU) network for local stores. Attending sites on set dates and working alongside Production Managers / site teams to count all stock methodically and accurately in order to achieve a snap shot in time of stock holdings, stock usage and potential stock loss. You'll carry out all aspects of auditing of either clean water or wastewater local stores following all processes and best practice. You'll support setting the framework and process of the development of local store locations within which the role holder and others will be responsible to deliver the phased roll out programme.

You'll promote and help deliver best practice across Water and Wastewater of local stores. you will be responsible for the initial set up of local stores from site survey and agreeing a location for the stores to delivery and set up and training of the stores to finally a go live status (some manual lifting will be required) Thereby deliver improved UU performance within regularly audited and documented visits. Overall you'll support the inception and design of an audit programme for local stores to be repeatable documented surveys and help identify routine activities to enable compliance within applicable process.

**Job Accountabilities**:
You'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently counting all stock at sites in local stores, through audit planning, setting and periodically refreshing the framework and standards for the audit and assurance of UUs clean water or wastewater local stores assets and operation. You'll also be responsible for:

- Local stores initial site visits and site preparation for set-up, support ordering ancillary items required to completion
- Initial training for the use of stores and delivery of WMS Lite ( Application on phone and or laptop)
- Communication and deployment of audit reports and action tracking
- Communication with external auditors where required and provision of information going to regulators via the regulatory team.
- Use and development of a stock dashboard to gauge progress and site compliance
- Communication and deployment of local stores of “go-live” processes including the involvement of our 3rd party logistics supply chain
- Leading local stores audits and organising the provision of technical specialists should they be required to satisfy audit objectives
- Advising Production Managers and or TCs on audit compliance matters and best practice.
- Detailed audit data analysis to identify common themes, insight and emerging areas of risk.
- Presentation of audit findings to stakeholders as all levels to support continual improvement.

**Knowledge and Skills**:
To be considered for this role you'll be able to demonstrate a wide range of planning, problem solving and organisational skills matching resources to workload on a day-to-day basis and in long term planning. You'll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding or perpetual inventory or cyclic stock counting processes and have excellent communication and influencing skills. You'll also have:

- Excellent IT skills
- Full driving licence
- Excellent understanding of all aspects of stores/local stores stock holding processes.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change as well as initiating change where necessary
- Ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders
