**Type: Casual-worker**: Please note this means we will offer you shifts which you can decide to take or refuse. Equally we will be under no obligation to offer you shifts.

**Hours**: The Discord community you will be moderating is a 24-hour operation. We are looking for someone to do some hours per day covering weekends and some evenings.

**Salary: £12 per hour**

Project N is the creative agency that is trusted by some of the worlds best-known developers, publishers, and retailers to produce their videos, websites and content. We work with the biggest and most prominent brands in the video games industry to create content that excites and engages their audiences, building value for their business.

**The role**

We are looking for an internet-savvy community manager / Discord moderator to join our team on a casual-worker basis.

The successful applicant will be joining the community team to help moderate two large and growing Discord servers for a major publisher and will be required to immerse themselves in the franchises. The applicant will also play a part in future projects and community building, and will ideally have experience of moderating and administrating Discord servers.

Ultimately, you should be able to act as a face and voice of our client, and act responsibly and calmly, even if crises arise.

**You will be responsible for**:
Ensuring the Discord servers we operate are safe and healthy environments for everyone.- This includes moderating or deleting messages, as well as inviting, warning, or banning users who violate the servers rules.-
- Acting as a first point of contact when an issue arises within the server.- Ensuring that users adhere to the written rules for behaviour to alleviate confusion and misunderstanding about what goes on within the community.- Working with other moderators/admins to ensure the smooth running of the community.- Acting in the best interests of the client/s and mitigate any potential damage to their brand.- Reviewing moderator notes to keep up with latest developments/decisions.- Moderating potentially traumatic, sensitive, and possibly offensive content.- Ability to work in a team environment, support other colleagues, and create a culture of growth.- Liaise with and report back to Project N staff on a regular basis.

**You will ideally have/be/be able to**:
Flexible approach to work, we are looking for someone who will get stuck in and can be flexible about hours.- An interest in video games and prior experience in community moderation would be advantageous.- Knowledge of Discord is essential and you will ideally have an understanding of additional online social platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, X/Twitter, and Reddit.- Understanding of tools such as Dyno or Zeppelin would be advantageous, too.-
- Resilient - able to handle difficult situations and people in a professional manner.- Excellent communication skills, especially written- For example, being able to highlight issues and communicate what effective remedies were undertaken, or helping to mitigate an online squabble between users.-
- Must be able to produce proof of right to work in the UK by the start of employment.
