A great opportunity has arisen locally for a Supply Chain Warehouse Apprentice to join the team at

A I E W Ltd based in Stanton near Sandiacre.

The successful applicant will be based in the warehouse working with a Work Based Mentor who will work closely with Apprentice and support them through their Training Programme resulting in an Apprenticeship Standard at Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative.

**Your duties will include?**
- Receiving goods inwards, checking and processing incoming paperwork.
- Booking goods in and out on the computer stock control system.
- Safely and competently using a variety of materials handling equipment (MHE) i.e. pallet/pump truck sack barrow etc for placing stock in the correct location within the warehouse and moving items manually, adhering to (MHOR) Manual Handling Operation Regulations when lifting by hand and adhering to Working at Height Regulations (WAHR) when storing/retrieving stock using ladders/steps.
- Maintaining a high level of Housekeeping in the warehouse environment ensuring the safety of all and protection of equipment and stock and a clean and safe, hazard free workspace.
- Undertaking regular safety checks on materials handling equipment before using to move stock.
- Picking orders from stock for the trade counter, sales office and external customers.
- Packing goods appropriately/securely and correct labelling orders for dispatch.
- Ensure environment is kept safe through recycling of items correctly and utilisation of recycled materials for packing items for despatch.
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels, engaging in manual stock taking activities when required.
- Following company health and safety guidelines using the correct PPE at all times and following the company procedures to keep everyone and everything safe.
- Communication with internal and external customers face to face, via the telephone and over the internet i.e. Zoom/Teams.
- Commit to producing an Evidence Portfolio and attending training - 8 hours per week in work time.
- Be flexible in the support of the team activities and proactive, self-motivated and able to use own initiative.

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**

Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Apprenticeship Standard, including Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required).
- You will work with Training Officer/Coach who will support you and your Work Based Mentor as you progress through the modules of the Supply Chain Warehouse Standard.
- You will have support in the workplace from your Work Based Mentor who will guide you through the practical side and operating practices involved in your Standard and Role.
- You will experience a blended learning model including online and face-to-face training and review sessions.
- You will build up an Apprentikit Portfolio to prepare you for an Online Exam at the end of the programme and plan with your Work Based Mentor and TO/Coach an externally observed practical demonstration of your skills in the workplace. You will be supported through regular visits from your Training Officer to the place or work throughout the apprenticeship and through online ZOOM/Teams tutorials and reviews. You may also be required to attend in person at WEBS Training Limited based in Beeston Nottingham.

At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready for your End Point Assessment.
